Famous Filipino Food Recipes

Famous Filipino Food Recipes Offered At Lutong Bahay
Famous Filipino food or pagkaing Pinoy recipes are now being offered online at lutong bahay. Filipinos in the Philippines and all over the world will be very happy to learn about this. After all, many Filipinos are looking for recipes of Filipino lutong bahay foods. Take note, however, that this website is different from the lutong pinoy.com site. If you want free recipes with pictures from the Philippines, you should make sure to visit the lutong bahay website. This is the site that authoritatively presents the entire breadth of Pilipino cuisine, with all the dishes systematically organized into various categories such as Pinoy breakfast recipes, viands or lutong ulam recipes, and snacks or merienda recipes.

Filipino or Pinoy cooking includes such a large number of Filipino dishes that most Filipinos have not even tried them all. Having access to these Philippine or Pilipino foods recipes is an opportunity for any Filipino anywhere to try any dish that hasnt been tasted yet.

Filipino cooking in the native language is called mga lutong Pinoy or lutong Pilipino while home cooked food is called mga lutong bahay or lutuing bahay. When browsing through lutong bahay free recipes or lutong Pinoy free recipes from the Philippines, one will invariably come across the best healthy and easy Filipino foods recipes.

It is a fun experience to mix and match Ilocano, Pampanga, Tagalog and Visayan foods, dishes and recipes and other regional specialties to come up with various versions of a lutong Pinoy menu. This could encompass, for instance, a saluyot recipe from the Ilocano region; the pigar pigar recipe of carabao meat from Dagupan, Pangasinan; the bulalo recipe of Batangas beef; and the pancit chami recipe from Lucena, Quezon. Dishes that are universally loved throughout the country should also be included, like sinigang sa bayabas, sinigang sa miso and ginisang togue.

Fish and seafood also figure a lot in Filipino food recipes. This is not surprising in a country that is made up of islands surrounded by bountiful seas and containing equally rich lakes and rivers. Among the most delicious recipes in this category are the Spanish sardines recipe, the crab Maritess recipe, the seafood kare kare recipe, the sweet and sour lapu - lapu recipe, the rellenong pusit recipe and the ginataang tilapia recipe. In the olden days, the ginataang tilapia recipe always required the use of a palayok or earthen pot lined with banana leaves. Today, any other pot will do.

Busy Filipinos who have no time to cook traditional Filipino recipes from scratch but still crave their flavors will be happy to learn about the Mama Sita recipes. These provide instructions on using special ready mixes of high quality for quicker and easier cooking.

If the craving of a Filipino is for the food often enjoyed when eating out in the Philippines, these could also be found at lutong bahay. Among such free Filipino recipes are: the Jollibee style spaghetti recipe, the Filipino style siopao sauce recipe, the hopia recipe, the sylvanas recipe and the best ube chiffon cake recipe.

While Filipinos love cooked desserts, they also love Philippine fresh fruits. The website contains food articles, too, including articles on fruits such as the Lanzones Festival 2010.

Add ½ cup potato starch powder, ¼ cup all-purpose flour, ¼ cup sweet rice flour, 1 ts baking soda, and 1 egg. 4. Mix well by hand and completely coat the chicken. 5. Put 6-7 cups of canola oil in a wok or frying pan and heat it up. 6. After it's heated for about 7-8 minutes, test if the oil is ready by dipping a sample chunk of chicken into the oil. If the oil bubbles, it's the right temperature to start frying. Fry them using the double-frying method: 1. Fry the chicken chunks for 10 minutes over high heat. 2. Take them out of the oil and shake them off in a strainer. Let them sit for a few minutes. 3. Fry them again for another 10 minutes until all pieces look golden brown and are crunchy outside. *tip: If your skillet is not large enough to fry all the chicken at once, divide it into batches like I do in the video. While you are frying, you can make the sauce: 1. Put 1 ...
